Examples of using prefixs

TermDefinition
antepartum means before birth
bradycardia means slow heartbeat
adrena a gland located near or above each kidney
apnea means not breathing
contralateral means pertaining to the opposite side
antisepsis means against infection
bilateral pertaining to two or both sides
unilateral pertaining to one side
anoxia means condition of no oxygen in tissues
congenital anomaly is an irregularity that is present at birth
contraindication is a reason that a doctor would advise against taking a specific medication
