QuestionAnswer
Total energy Combination of all the potential and kinetic energy in a system; stays the same in a system.
Gravitational Potential Energy (GPE) Equal to the product of the mass, height, and gravitational acceleration values (GPE = m x h x g)
Law of Conservation of Energy States that energy is not created or destroyed. Energy is just transformed or transferred from on form of energy to another.
Scientific Theory Explains why something happens. Explanation of a scientific law.
Scientific Law Describes what will or does happen under certain conditions.
Energy Transfer Energy moving or passing from one place to another without changing form.
Energy Transformation Energy changing from one form to another (like potential turning into kinetic)
Energy Efficiency The ratio of useful energy compared to the total energy that went into a transformation.
