Text Features Design elements that indicate the organizational structure of a text and help make the key ideas and the supporting information understandable.
Topic Sentence This states the reason, or controlling idea, of the paragraph.
Acknowledge Recognize and admit that something is true or accurate.
Alter To change or modify details
Cite To quote from some source such as a book, website, or speech.
Dynamic Energetic; changing; in motion
Emerge To develop; to become something new
Establish To make stable or firm
Motive Incentive; inner drive or desire that causes someone to act
