Digital Literacy Knowing how to use technology safely and smartly to find, understand, create, and share information.
Internet A global network that connects computers and allows people to find and share information.
Website A page or group of pages on the internet where you can read, watch, or do things.
Search Engine A website like Google or Bing that helps you find information online.
URL The address of a website (like www.example.com).
Link (or Hyperlink) A word or picture you click on that takes you to another webpage.
Browser The program you use to go on the internet (like Chrome or Safari).
Username A name you create to sign into a website or account.
Password A secret word or code that protects your account and keeps it safe.
Email A way to send messages using the internet.
Media Any way of sharing information or ideas, like videos, pictures, or articles.
Digital Footprint The trail of information you leave behind when you use the internet.
Cyberbullying Mean or hurtful behavior that happens online or through digital devices.
Privacy Keeping your personal information safe and choosing what to share online.
Copyright A law that protects someone's work (like a song or picture) from being copied without permission.
Plagiarism Copying someone else's work or ideas and saying they are your own.
Credible Source A trustworthy place to get accurate information.
Device A tool like a computer, tablet, or phone that you use to access technology.
App (Application) A program you can use on a phone, tablet, or computer.
