| beckon | to attract, call or summon someone |
| careen | to sway while moving fast or moving unsteadily |
| resolute | having or showing a lot of determination |
| reciprocity | a situation or relationship where two people or groups agree to do something similar for each other to allow each other to have the same rights |
| stupefy | to shock or surprise someone very much |
| halfhearted | feeling or showing a lack of enthusiasm |
| zeal | a strong feeling of interest and enthusiasm that makes someone very eager or determined to do something |
| recover | to return to a normal state after a period of difficulty |
| resigned | feeling or showing acceptance that something unpleasant will happen or will not change |
| unseasonable | Not normal for certain time of year |
| theoretically | relating to what is possible or imagined rather than to what is known to be true or real |
