What is CPU? Central Processing unit.
What is the EDVAC Electronic Discrete Variable Automatic Computer.

Who designed and built the EDVAC and the EDSAC? Mauchly, Eckert, and von Neumann.
What language was the EDVAC and the EDSAC using? Machine language. 0's and 1's to represent the status of a switch.
What is the UNIVAC? Who built it? When was it sold? Mauchly and Eckert.First sold to the U.S. Census Bureau in 1951.
What are some Disadvatages about the First Generation Computers? Many vacuum tubes and they were large. Very expensive.
What is an Advantage of the first generation computers? The ability to perform up to 1,000 calculations per second.
