Abiotic factors non-living elements of the environment that influence the way that organisms and ecosystems function
Biotic living factors in the environment; related to, produced by, or caused by living organisms
Ecosystem a community of interacting living organisms and the physical environment that they live in
Food Web a representation of several overlapping food chains in an ecosystem; includes the flow of energy from the Sun through producers to consumers and decomposers through multiple pathways
Fossil the impression of a prehistoric organism preserved in rock
Fossil evidence information about long ago based on similarities in a collection of fossils from the same geographical area
Survive continue to live or exist
Conservation prevention of wasteful use of resources
Disposal throwing away or getting rid of products no longer needed
Environmental Impact a condition that results in a change to the biotic or abiotic factors of an ecosystem
Healthy Ecosystem multiple populations of different organisms that are all able to consistently meet their needs
Natural Resource anything found in nature that can be used by humans
Recycle the process of taking materials ready to be thrown away and converting (changing) them into reusable materials
