Pheromones' are Chemicals used to communicate between animals.
Circadian rhythm is - Daily and nightly cycles. When we sleep, when we are awake and when we are hungry.
Symmetry that cuts through the middle many times, like a bicycle wheel or a sea star is called - Radial symmetry
Symmetry that cuts an animal in half - one side matches the other is called - Bilateral symmetry
Invertebrates are made up of what percentage of animals - 95%
This phyla of animals take in food and water through pores. The phyla is - Porifera
This phyla has an exoskeleton and jointed legs. An example would be a crab. This phyla is - Arthropoda
This phyla of animal is made up of stinging cells. Jelly fish, sea anemones, and coral are examples - Cnidaria
Animals in this phyla have a backbone. They are called - Chordata or chordates
This phyla - animals have smooth skin and live on both land and water. Frogs would be an example. Amphibians
Spiders belong to which class of invertebrates? Arachnids
This class of animals nurse their young milk and have fur or hair to cover them. Mammals
This class of fish are made up of cartilage not hard bones - Chondichthyes
Segmented worms belong to this phyla - Annelida
Review questions - place the levels of classification from the most specific to the most general - species, genus, family, order, class, phylum, kingdom, domain
Estivation means - Slowing breathing and hibernating during the summer (hot temps)

Amphibians are vertebrates that would include - Frogs and salamanders
Reptiles are vertebrates that would include - Turtles, chameleons, crocs,
All reptiles are - Cold blooded
An owl and a mouse would have this type of relationship - Predictor and Prey relationship
