what is internal attribution? something inherent to the person
what is external attribution? something outside of the persons control (situational)
what is consistency in kelleys 3 factor theory? is this person consistently acting the same way?
what is distinctiveness in kelleys 3 factor theory? is the action just in this situation or the same in various situations?
what is consensus in kelleys 3 factor theory? do other people act the same way in the same situation?
what is spontaneous trait interfernece? we tend to infer that others behaviors correspond to their traits or dispositions
what is spontaneous trait transference? we tend to infer traits about someone when they are describing someone else's behavior
do attitudes determine behavior? why not we forget situational factors, we act automatically, and habitual behaviors are hard to overcome
do attitudes determine behavior? why saying becomes believing effect and roleplaying
what is self-definitional attitude? attitude that we have about out self, how we define ourself
what is utilitarian attitude? attitude about what has worked in the past for us
what is the saying becomes believing effect? when we are encouraged to say something we may change our belief
what is cognitive dissonance? when we face dissonance when our behavior and attitudes are inconsistent
what is self perception theory? we observe our behavior then infer our attitudes
