| Cell | The basic unit of life that makes up all living organisms. It can perform all life processes. |
| Microscope | An instrument used to see objects that are too small for the naked eye, allowing us to study cells and organisms in detail. |
| Organism | Any living thing, whether it's a plant, animal, or microorganism. |
| Cell Theory | A fundamental scientific theory that states that all living things are made of cells, that cells are the basic unit of life, and that all cells come from pre-existing cells. |
| Unicellular | Organisms that consist of a single cell, such as bacteria and some protists. |
| Multicellular | Organisms that are made up of multiple cells, allowing for specialization of cells and more complex functions, such as plants and animals. |
| Prokaryotic | A type of cell that does not have a nucleus or other membrane-bound organelles, typically found in unicellular organisms like bacteria. |
| Eukaryotic | A type of cell that has a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles, found in multicellular organisms like plants and animals. |
| Autotrophic | Organisms that can produce their own food using sunlight or chemical energy, such as plants through photosynthesis. |
