What is physical abuse? Infliction of physical injury as a result of harming a child.
What is child neglect? Failure to provide for child's bask needs physical (abandonment), education (chronic truancy), and/or emotional (marked inattention to child's needs).
What is sexual abuse? Fondling child's genitals, intercourse, incest rape, sodomy, exhibitionism, and commercial exploitation prostitution and porn.
What is emotional abuse? Psychological, verbal, and mental injury. Acts or ommisions that result in serious behavioral, cognitive, or emotional problems.
What are some consequences of abuse? Poor emotional regulation, attachment problems, problems in peer relationships, difficulty in adapting to school, & other psychological problems, like depression & delinquency. -Violent relationships, delinquency, sexual risk taking, and substance abuse.
