| Dam | A wall built across a creek or river, to block the flow of water. |
| Invasive species | An introduced species living outside its native area. |
| Extracting Fossil Fuels | Extraction processes can generate air and water pollution, and harm local communities. |
| Burning Fossil Fuels | When the fuels are burned, they emit toxins and contribute to global warming. |
