Physican's Desk Reference (PDR) Annual publication of all product inserts from manufacturers into a book. Indexes of manufacturers, generic and trade names; product identification guide (pictures of the product).
U.S. Pharmacopoeia National Formulary (USP-NF) Good manufacturing Practices (GMP). Must be in each pharmacy to make sure policies are followed when compounding. Requires preparations to include the ingredient added, lot # of ea ingredient and expiration date in case of recalls.
