Germination Occurs when an embryo begins to grow again and pushes out of a seed

Pollination The transfer of pollen from male reproductive structures to female reproductive structures
What are 3 functions of roots? Carries substances between the plants roots and leaves; also provides support for the plant and its leaves
What are 2 functions of stems? The stem carries substances between the plants roots and leaves, it also provides support for the plant. Lastly it holds the plant towards the sun.
What are the functions of leaves? Leaves capture the suns energy and carries it throughout the plant (photosynthesis)
What are three parts of a seed? Embryo, stored food, and the seed coat
What are 3 ways a seed can be dispersed? Water can disperse from seeds falling in the ocean, barb-like structures can hook onto clothing and fall in new places, and animals could eat a flower and digest the seeds and put them in a different place
What are the structures of a flower? Sepals, petals, stamens, and pistils
What does each part of a flower do? Sepals=enclosed bud by leaflike structures Petals=when sepals fold back and the bud shows the colorful colors of a flower Stamens=male reproductive parts Pistils=female parts found in the middle of the flower
