Habitable Zone the area around a star where conditions are just right for liquid water to exist on a planet's surface
Astronomical Unit (au) the average distance between Earth and the Sun, which is about 93 million miles or 150 million kilometers, usually used to measure distances in the solar system
Solvent a substance that can dissolve other substances, called solutes, to form a homogeneous mixture called a solution
Dissolve the process of a substance breaking apart or being absorbed into another substance
Cohesion molecules of the same kind stick together.
Atmosphere a mixture of gases that surrounds the Earth or other planet
Insulate the process of reducing or preventing the transfer of heat, electricity, or sound to or from an object, device, or region
Proximity how near objects are located from each other
Boiling Point the temperature at which the substance transitions from a liquid to the gaseous phase.
Dense a measure of how heavy something is for its size, or its mass compared to its volume:
