| Solid | Matter with a defined shape and volume that is rigid |
| physical change | When matter changes form or state, but no new matter is created. |
| Mixture | A combination of different types of matter that can usually be separated. |
| Data | Details and measurements that are recorded. |
| Evaporate | To change from liquid to gas. |
| Element | A substance made of a single type of atom. |
| Solution | A way to solve a problem. |
| Volume | The amount of space an object takes up. |
| Molecule | A substance made of one or more kinds of atoms joined together by bonds. |
| Dissolve | To separate and spread out particles of matter into another substance. |
| Matter | Anything that has mass and takes up space. |
| Particles | Tiny pieces of matter that are too small to be seen. |
| Precipitate | A solid formed from a chemical reaction. |
| Expand | To grow bigger |
| Liquid | Matter with a definite volume, but not a defined shat that moves freely but doesn't expand to fill any container. |
| Condense | To change from gas to liquid. |
| Conserve | To stay the same. |
| Atom | A small particle of matter. |
| Chemical Change | When matter interacts to form a new type of matter. |
| Property | A characteristic used to describe something. |
| Evidence | Information that helps answer a question, support a claim, or solve a problem. |
| Chemistry | The science of what matter is made of and how it changes. |
| Gas | Matter without a definite volume or shape that moves freely and expands to fit any container. |
| Models | Pictures, symbols, or examples that help explain something we can't observe. |
