| Hegemony | leadership or dominance, especially by one state or social group over others |
| Resistance | the refusal to accept or comply with something |
| Duality | an instance of opposition or contrast between two aspects of something |
| Authority | the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience |
| Subjugation | the action of bringing someone or something under domination or control |
| Propaganda | information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view |
| Dispossession | the action of depriving someone of land, property, or other possessions |
| Displacement | the action of moving something from its place or position |
| Agency | the capacity of individuals to have the power and resources to fulfill their potential. |
| Hierarchy | a system in which members of an organization or society are ranked according to relative status or authority |
| Exploitation | the action or fact of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their work |
| Marginalisation | treatment of a person, group, or concept as insignificant or peripheral |
