Sex in psychology the biologically influenced characteristics by which people define male and female

Aggression any physical or verbal harm behavior intended to harm someone physically or emotionally
Relational aggression an act of aggression intended to harm a persona relationship or social standing
Male answer syndrome a subject's exaggerated willingness to answer
Interdependence being dependent on two or more people and making intimate connections
Perception women are seen as aggressive when a man is seen as take-charge
Compensation women in traditionally male occupations have received less than their make colleagues
Family-care responsibility women do more childcare then fathers even if both have other jobs
Social norms in most societies' men place more independence on power and achievement and are socially dominant
Leadership styles men are more directive and women are more welcoming others input in decisions making
Interaction styles men are more likely to offer opinions, women are more likely to express support
Everyday behavior men are more likely to talk assertively, and women smile and apologize more
Gender roles vary widely throughout space and time
Roles given to genders a set of expectations about a social position
Gender identity our sense of being male or female or a combination of both
Social learning theory the theory that we learn social behavior by observing and imitating and by being rewarded or punished
Gender typing the acquisition of traditional masculine or feminine role
Androgyny displaying both traditional masculine and feminine psychology characteristics
Transgender an umbrella term describing people whose gender identity or expression
