Magnetic Field

TermDefinition
Attract To pull objects toward one another.
Magnetic Field Lines A line that connects opposite magnetic poles and represent the strength and direction of the magnetic field.
Energy The ability to make things move or change.
Model An object, diagram, or computer program that helps us understand something by making it simpler and easier to use.
Refute To provide evidence that goes against a claim.
Electromagnet A type of magnet where the magnetic field is produced by an electric current.
Force A push or pull that can change the motion of an object.
Potential Energy The energy that is stored in an object or system.
System A set of interacting parts forming a complex whole.
Convern To change from one TYPE to another.
Repel To push objects away from each other.
Kinetic Energy The energy that has an object has because it is moving.
Magnetic Field The space around a magnet where the magnetic force can act on objects.
Isolate To separate or set apart.
Variable Something that can be changed and may be measured.
Transfer To move from one object to another or one place to another.
