can experimental research methods be manipulated? yes, with independent variables
what are the weaknesses of experimental research methods? 1. sometimes not possible for practical or ethical reasons 2. may not generalize to other contexts
what is random assignment? random assignment is like using a bag of pink numbered sheets to put you in conditions based on chance
what is random selection? its using chance to get participants into the study itself
why is random assignment important? because we can make causal conclusions
why is participant decided important (random selection)? because participant decided their condition, we cannot determine the precise causal.
