Why did Binet create the first intelligence test? The French government mandated that all children must attend school. Many kids had never been in a classroom and teachers wanted to figure out how they could identify kids who needed extra help. So, Alfred Binet created a solution.
What is Mental Age? The level of performance associated with a certain chronological age
What is an example of Mental Age? If a six year old tests as well as the average 6 year old, he’d have a mental age of 6.
What is the fomula for an IQ? mental age divided by chronological age multiplied by 100
What is an example of the usage of the formula for an IQ? Bruno’s IQ= mental age of 6 divided by chronological age of 6 multiplied by 100. His IQ would be 100
