Distance-Time Graphs

x-axis The horizontal axis that shows the independent variable
y-axis The vertical axis that shows the dependent variable
line graph a visual representation of data where points are connected by lines, showing how something changes over time
speed graph a graph with distance or position on on the y axis and time on the x-axis
speed the change in distance over a specific amount of time
constant speed the speed of an object remains the same. It does not increase or decrease
independent variable An independent variable is a variable that stands alone and is not changed by other variables
dependent variable An independent variable is a variable that stands alone and is not changed by other variables
velocity speed in a given direction
