Horizontal Asymptote a horizontal line that a function approaches but never touches; has the equation y=
Vertical Asymptote a vertical line that a function approaches but never touches; has the equation x=
End Behavior The value a function approaches as x approaches positive or negative infinity
Limited Notation The use of symbols to represent the value a function approaches.
