Ambulatory patients A patient who is able to walk and is not restricted to bed
Anabolism The body process during which proteins are synthesized and tissues are formed

Anaphylaxis A hypersensitivity reaction that is imediate,shockline, and possibly fatal
Antepartum Before the onset of childbirth
Antibiotic A substance that is able to kill or inhabit the growth of bacteria or other microoraganism
Antineoplastic A substance that prevents the developement or spread of tumor cell
Antipruritic A drug that releives itch
Antipyretic A drug that reduces fever
Antiseptic An agent that inhabits the growth of microoranisms but does not necessarly kills them
Antitoxin A specific angent neutralizing a poison or toxic
Antitussive A drug used for the relief of cough
Arryhthmia An abnormal, irregular heartbeat
Arteriosclorosis Hardening of the arteries
Arthritis Inflammation of the joints
Ascites Accumulation of fluid within the abnormal cavaty
Aseptic Technique A method of preparation that will prvent contamination of a cite
Athrosclorosis Lipid fats deposits in large and small parts of the ateries
