| Meniscus | The bottom of the curve in liquid |
| Nasogastric tube (NGT) medication administration | Medication administered through a tube inserted through the nose and extending into the stomach |
| Oral medication administration | Administering medications by mouth |
| Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube | Feeding tube inserted in stomach |
| Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube medication administration | Feeding tubes, or PEG tubes, allow you to receive medication or nutrition through your stomach |
| Rectal medications | Medications in suppository or liquid form administered as a retention enema |
| Rectal route | Enteral route of medication administration that allows for rapid and effective absorption of medications via the highly vascularized rectal mucosa |
