plain a large area of flat land
plateau a large area of flat land that's raised higher than the land around it
mountain a large, tall, rocky area of land that comes up out of the Earth's surface
hill a mound of raised land that is smaller than a mountain
canyon a large crack in the Earth formed by a river or earthquakes
isthmus a narrow strip of land that connects two large areas of land
island an area of land that is completely surrounded by water
peninsula a strip of land that extends out into a body of water
delta low, water land that is formed at the mouth of the river
valley an area of low land between two mountains or hills
beach gently sloping shore ext to a body of water, washed by waves or tides, often covered by sand and pebbles
meander a curve or loop in a river
floodplain the land that gets covered by water from a stream or river
lake a large area of water that is surrounded by land
bay an area of water that is mostly surrounded by land
ocean A major body of water that covers large parts of the Earth
waterfall a place where a water flows over a cliff
River a thin waterway that allows water to flow into a lake or ocean
pond a very small body of water that is surrounded by a land
strait a channel of water that connects to large areas of water
wetland an area of what soggy land with many pools of water
