property law law dealing with ownership
personal rights generally only binding between two or more specific parties
ownership the state or fact of owning something exclusive
usufruct the tight to use and enjoy someone else's property without owning it
usus(user) the right to use someone else's property
fructus the right to derive profit from someone else's property
bare ownership owership of a piece of property without the right to use and derive profit from that property
right of habitation a specific right for a person to live in a house, to use a home, or to use a part of a house with their family
servitude is a charge on an immovable object for the use and utility of an immovable object of another owner
right of ephyteusis usually a long-term lease of land for erecting buildings or making land improvements
superficies the right to have ownership of an immovable object on someone else's land
priority right a special property right that comes into existence by operation of law accessory to an existing claim
hypothec a property security right in respect of an immovable object
pledge in order to secure the performance of an obligation
possessory pledge a legal arrangement where a person holds possession of someone else's property as a security for a debt owed to them
non-possessory pledge the pledged property remains with the borrower, but the lender has a right to claim it if the borrower defaults on the loan
right of possession means that the party is officialy allowed to occupy and exercise direct control over a piece of real property
