Chest x-ray x-rays of the chest
Pulmonary angiography when contrast media is injected into a blood vessel and images are taken of the arteries or veins in the lung
Bronchoscopy the visual examination of the bronchial tubes
Endotracheal intubation when a tube is placed through the nose or mouth, through the pharynx and larynx, and into the trachea to establish an airway
Tracheostomy the creation of an opening into the trachea through the neck and insertion of a tube to facilitate passage of air or removal of secretions
