carp/o carpals which are the bones of the wrist
clavicul/o clavicle, which is the collar bone
cost/o rib. There are true, false and floating ribs
femor/o femur which is the thigh bone and the largest bone in the body
fibul/o fibula which is the smaller lower leg bone
humer/o humerus which is the upper arm bone
malleol/o malleolus which are the processes on each side of the ankle
maxill/o maxilla or upper jaw
meta beyond
metacarp/o metacarpals, literally beyond the carpals bones, which are hand bones
metatars/o metatarsals, literally beyond the tarsal bones, which are foot bones
patell/a patella, which is the kneecap
pelv/i the pelvis or hip bones
radi/o radius which is the lower arm bone on the thumb side and it makes up part of the forearm
uln/o ulna and it is the other bone that makes up the forearm
scapul/o scapula which is the shoulder bone on your upper back
stern/o sternum which is the breast bone
tars/o tarsals which are the bones of the ankle
tibi/o tibia which is the larger lower leg bone that is also designated as the shin bone
