hepat liver as in hepatitis, inflammation of the liver.
path disease as in pathology, the study of disease.
oste bone, as in osteoma, a bone tumor
hemat blood, as in hematology, the study of blood.
ped child, as in pediatrics, pertaining to children.
neur nerve, as in neurology, the study of nerves.
rhin nose, as in rhinitis, inflammation of the nose.
radi x-rays, as in radiology, the study of x-rays.
