Definitions of subject concepts (EXAM)

TermDefinition
Paradigma Teoría o conjunto de teorías aceptadas sin cuestionar.
Problema científico Problema contextualizado teóricamente con una hipótesis de solución.
Problemas conceptuales Datos organizados que generan preguntas en investigación.
Problemas empíricos Problema basado en la experiencia.
Racional Usa la razón o el pensamiento lógico.
Razonamiento Proceso de pensar de manera lógica para llegar a conclusiones.
Sistemático Hecho de manera ordenada y metódica.
Universalismo Principio que sugiere que las leyes científicas deben ser válidas en todas partes y para todos.
Validez Grado en que algo mide lo que pretende medir.
Validez Externa Grado en que los resultados de un estudio se pueden aplicar a otras situaciones.
Validez Interna Grado en que un estudio mide con precisión lo que pretende medir.
Variable de Intervalo Variable que tiene valores numéricos donde la distancia entre dos valores es significativa, pero no tiene un cero absoluto, como la temperatura en grados Celsius.
Variable de Razón Variable que tiene un valor numérico con un punto cero absoluto, como la altura o el peso.
Variable Dependiente: Lo que se mide en un experimento.
Variable Extraña Cualquier variable que no sea la independiente o la dependiente y que pueda afectar los resultados del experimento.
Variable Independiente Lo que se manipula para ver su efecto.
Variable Interviniente Variable que influye en la relación entre la variable independiente y la dependiente, aunque no sea directamente observable.
Variable Nominal Variable que categoriza o clasifica sin un orden específico, como el color de los ojos o el tipo de mascota.
Variable Ordinal Variable que categoriza con un orden específico, pero sin distancias iguales entre categorías, como las posiciones en una carrera (primero, segundo, tercero).
Verificabilidad Capacidad de comprobar si algo es verdadero o falso mediante pruebas.
