| Anasarca | Severe, generalized, and massive Edema |
| Asymmetry | the presence of glandular tissue in one portion of the breast that isn't in similar portion of other breast |
| Focal Asymmetric lesion | limited to small area of asymmetric fibroglandular tissue seen on CC and MLO |
| Global Asymmetry | covers larger portion of breast, typically more than one quadrant |

| Cysts | Occur in the TDLUs when the extralobular terminal duct becomes blocked. Fluid accumulates faster than it can be reabsorbed. Vary in size and respond to hormonal fluctuations. |
| Tense Cysts | round shaped cyst |
| Lax Cysts | Can be any shape depending on the compression applied |
| Cytology | refers to the study of cells, including their formation, origin, structure, function, biochemical activity, and pathologic characteristics. |
| TDLU | Terminal ductal lobular units |
| Duct Ectasia | blocked duct causes area around nipple to become red and tender, causing a thick, green, black, or sticky discharge. (commonly found in women in their 40s/50s) |
