termfunction
Node of Ranvier They are the gaps in the myelin sheath coating that allow electrical impulses in and out of the neurons.
Microglia They help rebuild muscles and tissues while clearing out dead cells.
Ciliary body Produces the aqueous humor in the eyes and the accommodation of seeing close and far.
Lymphocyte The main function is to help the body's immune system fight cancer and foreign bacteria.
Olfactory bulb Receives information about the smells the nose receives and transfers the signals to the brain.
Mitral valve Prevents the blood from flowing backward. It pushes the blood from the left artium to the left ventricle.
Sinoatrial Valve Generate electrical signals causing the chambers of the heart to contract." Pacemaker"
Spleen Controls blood levels/ filters the germs in the blood.
Tonsils Glands that cntain wbc to fight infection and catch germsas they pass through the mouth and nose.
Thymus Produces "T-Cells" that fight off infection.
