What is absolute zero? Temperature at which all molecular motion stops.

What is amplitude? Maximum distannce particles of a wave's mdium vibrate from rest position.
What is Hertz? Units of frequency.
What is a wave that bounces back after hitting a barrier? reflection
What is a wave that bends as it passes from one medium to another at an angle? refraction
What is diffraction? Bending of waves around barrier or opening.
What is the law of reflection? Angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection.
What is resonance? When two objects naturally vibrat at same frequency; sound of one object creates the other to vibrate.
What is alongitudinal wave cause by vibrations that travels through material medium? Sound
What is intensity? Amount of energy a wave carries.
What are the units of loudness? decibels
What is pitch? Measue of how high or low a sound is depending on frequency.
Elasticity? Flexibility
What is the Doppler Effect? An observed change in frequency of wave when source of observer moves.
What is the high frequency sound above limit of normal rancge of human hearing? Ultrasound.
What is infrasound? Sound at frequency below 20 HZ.
What are EM waves? Wave that consists of electric and magnetic fields that vibrate at right angles to each other.
List all the wavelengths. radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves—warmth, visible light-ROYGBIV, ultraviolet- skin cancer, vitamins, kill bacteria, X-rays, Gamma Rays.
Electric Charge Positive or negative charge affected by gain or loss of electrons.
What is static electricity? Elecric harge at rest on object.
What is an electroscope? Device that detects elecricity.
What is resistance? The opposition to current by material or device.
What is a series circuit and a parallel circuit? Series are where parts are joined so current is same and parallel is where parts are joined in brances.
What is a circuit breaker? Safety shut off in electric circuit.
What is opaque, translucent, and transparent? Opaque can't be seen through, translucent can be seen, but not distinguished, and transparent can be seen.
What are virtual and real images? Virtual is right up and real image is upsidee down.
What is concave and convex? Concave curves inward and convex curves outward.
What is a mirror? Highly reflective surface.
What is a lens? Transparent glass used for focusing.
