| Refraction/refracted | The bending of waves due to a change in speed |
| Sound wave | A vibration or wave that travels through matter(solid, liquid, gas)and can be heard |
| Transmit | To cause (light, heat, sound, ect) to pass through a medium |
| Transparent | Allows light to pass through |
| Visible light spectrum | The portion of the electromagetic spectrum that the human eye can view |
| Wave | Any disturbance that transfers energy from place to place |
| Wavelength | The distance the wave travels before it starts to repeat |
| propagate | the way waves travel or more |
