AP Psychology Unit 5

TermDefinition
Short-term Memory Memory that can hold only a few items, generally about seven, for a short period
Consolidation short-term memories transformed into long-term memories.
Explicit Memories created in the hippocampus, memory we are aware of having and can be expressed readily [Episodic Memories, Semantic Memories]
Long-term potentiation
Algorithm A logical, systematic procedure for solving a problem
