6. what is motivation? desire to do action
7. example of social learning theory? bandura bobo doll experiment in 1961 study of aggression through modelling kids watch someone beat the living craojojvp out of doll and then imitate
8. strengths of bandura? -lab = less extraneous variables = high internal validity -lab = replicable = reliable -evidence for identification -match pair = fewer participant variables
9. weaknesses of bandura? -low ecological validity -ethical issues -demand characteristics (kids behave the way they think we want them to) -researcher bias (already has idea what want) -ignores biological factors eg hormones
10. what does the social learning theory state? all behaviour is learnt from observation and imitation of others
11. what is identification? more likely to imitate if we identify similar eg same gender
12. what is vicarious reinforcement? indirect learning - individual observes behaviour of others eg i do good and get a cookie so you want to do good and get a cookie too
13. what are the mediational processes? thinking processes between (cognitive) attention, retention, motor reproduction, motivation
