Tone Style Theme

TermDefinition
tone author's attitude toward the subject or character.
style the language used in a book, the way the words are put together to create the story.
standard written style sounds natural but is more formal than most speech.
conversational style language is more informal, sound more like the way people really talk.
dialect portrays a regional or social type of language distinguished by pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary.
ornate or unusual style sometimes used in high fantasy and historical fiction, used on older traditional literature and poetry.
