| force | a push or a pull that causes an object to move, stop, or change direction |
| kinetic energy | the energy of motion, observable as the movement of an object |
| net force | the sum of all the forces acting on an object |
| mass | the amount of matter an object contains. |
| friction | the force that resists motion when the surface of one object comes in contact with the surface of another |
| direction | the line or course along which something moves, lies, or points |
| speed | how fast an object is moving |
| potential energy | he energy that is stored in an object due to its position |
| push | a force that changes the direction of an object away from you |
| pull | a force that changes the direction of an object towards you |
| gravity | an invisible force that pulls objects toward each other |
| motion | the process of an object moving or being moved |
| position | where something is related to another object |
| acceleration | how fast an object speeds up |
