Mania individuals find extreme pleasure in every activity - Last for 7 days/ 1 week - They become extraordinarily active (hyperactive) - Require little sleep - May develop grandiose plans - Believing they can accomplish anything they desire
Hypomanic episode a less severe version of a manic episode that does not cause marked impairment in social or occupational functioning. - Last only 4 days
Mixed Features An individual can experience manic symptoms but feel somewhat depressed or anxious at the same time, or be depressed with a few symptoms of mania.
