Spot Heal Brush tool used to correct flaws or blend points of a picture with its surrounding area in a picture
Image format the way in which an image is stored; png format is higher quality, larger file, and supports transparency in images. Jpeg format is lower quality, smaller file, and does not support transparency in images.
Filter tool that cleans up or retouches images, applies art effects, and transforms or distorts lighting effects
Toolbar a set of icons or buttons that are part of a software program's digital environment
Layers stacks of elements that make up an image. Four kinds include: image, adjustment, fill, and shape
Saturate to make full of color
Desaturate reducing the amount of color in an image
Pixel a picture element or specific point in a picture
Pixelation happens when pixels are clumped together to form larger units; causes an image to be blurry
Quick Select a tool that works like a brush and allows the user to outline a part of a picture to be selected and used for some purpose
Clone Stamp a tool that allows the user to duplicate a part of a picture somewhere else in the same picture or for removing defects in the image
Hue one of the main properties of a color. Some aspects of color appearance are saturation, lightness, and brightness
Marquee the most basic of selection tools that is used to draw selections based on geometric shapes
Contrast the difference in tones in an image; black and white has a bigger difference in tones than blue and green
Magnetic lasso a tool that creates selections, automatically clinging to edges of contrast objects
