| eye | a specialized light-sensitive sensory structure of animals light detector |

| Evidence | something that gives proof or a reason to believe. Scientists have not yet found evidence of life on Mars |
| phenomenon (phenomena) | a happening or fact that can be seen or known through the senses. A hurricane is an example of a weather phenomenon |
| optical | of or having to do with the sense of sight or the eye. Optical tests tell you whether or not you need glasses |
| illusion | a state of seeing, hearing, or otherwise sensing things in a false way. The magician created the illusion that he was sawing a woman in half. |
| model/modeling | a small exact copy of something, often used as a guide to making the thing in full size |
| light path | light travels in a straight line |
| ray | a thin beam of light or some other radiation. We enjoyed the warmth of the sun's rays |
