Term | Definition |

Call Board | place where all schedules, sign-in sheets and notices are posted for cast and crew. Each company member is responsible for reading this everyday |
Call Time | the time actors and/or crew are “called” to the rehearsal or performance. |
Calling the show | the process of cueing actors and technicians in a professional and consistent manner so that the show is the same every time. |
Prompt Book | the master script used for recording all stage business, blocking, light cues, sound cues, timings, etc. This becomes a permanent record of the production and usually stays with the company or school rather than the individual. |
Stage Directions | Center Stage, Stage Left, Stage Right, Upstage, Downstage, Backstage or Offstage, On-stage. |
Rehearsal Reports | Documents of what is happening during the show that is sent to the actors, directors, producers, tech crews, etc. once a day. |
