CYBERBULLYING | The electronic posting of mean-spirited messages about a person; often done anonymously and often an abuse of power to humiliate or intimidate. |
DIGITAL CITIZEN | A person connected to a community, related to electronic and computerized technology, who is entitled to the rights and privileges of it. |
DIGITAL ETIQUETTE | The conventions of being a responsible online citizen |
SOCIAL MEDIA | Includes the various online technology tools that enable people to communicate easily via the internet to share information and resources. |
DIGITAL FOOTPRINT | The trail of ‘electronic breadcrumbs’ you leave behind when you use the internet. It can include the websites you visit, the photos you upload and your interactions with other people on social networks. |
TROLLING | Creating conflict on the Internet by starting fights or upsetting people by posting inciting or off-topic messages in an online community. |
DIGITAL MEDIA | Electronic devices and media platforms such as computers, cell phones, video, the internet, and video games that allow users to create, communicate, and interact with one another or with the device or application itself. |
PLAGIARISM | Using someone else's words or ideas and passing them off as your own. |
