Computer Apps in Drug-Use Control

| Scanner | Converts printed matter onto the computer |
| Modem | Device that transfers info from one computer to another using phone lines and servers |
| Printer | Produces paper copies |
| Software | Programs which are a set of instructions; each has a different purpose |
| Automated touch-tone response system | Telephone refill orders |
| Data | Raw facts the computer can manipulate. Includes letters, numbers, sounds, images |
| Users | The people who use the computers |
| PDA | Hand-held device; can be used anywhere |
