Antiemetic and Antivertigo Drugs

| antiemetic | a drug used to treat or prevent nausea or vomiting |
| antivertigo | a drug used to treat or prevent vertigo |
| chemoreceptor trigger zone | a group of nerve fibers in the brain that when stimulated by chemicals, such as drugs or toxic substances, sends impulses to the vomiting center of the brain |
| emesis | the expelled gastric contents; vomitus |
| nausea | an unpleasant gastric sensation usually preceding vomiting |
| prophylaxis | a drug or treatment designed for prevention of a condition or symptom |
| Vertigo | An abnormal feeling of spinning or rotation type motion that may occur with motion sickness and other disorders |
| vestibular neuritis | inflammation of the vestibular nerve to the inner ear |
| vomiting | forceful expulsion of gastric contents through the mouth |
