Civil Law generic term for all non-criminal law
Criminal Law body of law that defines criminal offenses
Double Jeopardy trying someone twice for the same crime
Probable Cause a reasonable person would believe that a crime was in the process
Search Warrant warrant signed by a judge to let law enforcement search their house.
Bail temporary release of an accused person awaiting trial
Bail bond money given to the court to guarantee that someone will go to their trial.
