ELA Nonfiction vocabulary

heading a text feature that let you know what the section will mostly be about
diagram a text feature that shows the parts of something

map a text feature that shows where something is
central idea includes the topic and point
topic tells who or what a text is about
point tells the main thing the author wants to say about the topic
relevant details tell more about the central idea
