Where can medications be returned? To the wholesaler, warehouse, or manufacturer
What pieces of information should be listed on the form for returning? Name, strength, dosage form, and package size of the medication Quantity being returned (including partials as a fraction) and its cost.
Which form from the manufacturer or wholesaler contains detailed instructions for returns? A returned-goods authorization form

Three reasons for handling returns promptly Returns tie up money that may be needed for other purposes. Products to be returned take up storage space that could be put to better use. Some manufacturers will not take back expired products beyond a certain date after they expire.
How can a pharmacy technician identify recalled medications to be removed from the shelves? By using the National Drug Code (NDC) number, expiration date, and lot number.
