CD Unit One Vocab

TermDefinition
Ability A skill that has been developed. Her special ability was that we was very good at scooping ice cream.
Aptitude A person's outlook on life, usually positive or . His aptitude has seemed to change as he has grown.
Interest things you enjoy doing. His biggest interest in playing basketball.
Growth Mindset The belief that you can be better at something by working on it. Because of his growth mindset he was able to get all A's this year.
Learning style the way in which you think to help you learn. His learning styles was hands on learning.
Lifestyle the way in which you live. He live a very cultural lifestyle.
Personality The combination of attitude, values, interests and behaviors that identify a person. Throughout all of middle school his joyful personality never left him.
Respect Consideration of others. His respect for his coach was built over time.
Self Awareness The ability to focus on yourself and learn who you are. Using his self awareness he realized he no longer enjoyed his current job.
Self Esteem How you Value and perceive yourself. With some self esteem he was able to convince himself to play a sport.
Skill The ability to preform a certain task/activity. He used his new found skill to apply for a job.
Values Personal standards by which you live. One of his values was to treat everyone with respect.
